"Medium Jeff" is an Analog Tele-Phonographer made from an old car horn, with parts from two different trombones. It is attached to a base made from salvaged steel and lightly lacquered to prolong its natural beauty.

This piece is really superb. The combination of the wide-throated car horn and the large bell from a trombone provide a rich thick midrange sound in a very small footprint. every summer, I took two or three pieces like this to the Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts and I think they usually sell on the first day. Selling one like this is always hard for me, because I definitely fall in love with this compact yet hearty shape. It’s a very powerful sound-to-size ratio, and an adorable set of visual proportions.

The compactness of this piece makes it extra portable. You can definitely take this to whatever room you want, or out on to the patio for cocktail hour and snacks. it projects sound so well, you are likely to annoy your neighbors when you play “Mambo Number 5” on repeat.
