Manute

$850.00

"Manute" is an Analog Tele-Phonographer made from an old marching French horn, which small parts of a trumpet and a trombone. It is attached to a base made from an old lamp base my mom found at the Brewster Exchange. It’s truly one-of-a-kind!

This piece is really great. It’s tall and makes a real statement wherever it goes. The vertical orientation of the horn will project the sound upward, which will then reflect off the ceiling and really fill the room. The horn is in great shape for its age, and was left mostly intact. This thing is like a trophy, like a monument to uniqueness. I really wish I could make more like this, but bases of this sort don’t come along very often. Some of my brass horn iPhone amplifiers are small and / or unassuming. Some are delicate and dainty. Some are a nice little conversation piece. This one is none of the above. It’s a marvel to behold. It’s a luxurious focal point. It’s the most exciting thing in the room. Don’t blame me if you start having dreams about it. Your friends are going to be so mad when you put this in your home and tell them they can’t get one like it anywhere in the world.

At just over 32 inches, it was so tall, I couldn’t find a good place to photograph it!

This horn will make the sound from your iPhone or iPad louder and richer, using no electricity, wires, plugs, or batteries. The shape of the horn is enough to add 25 decibels or more! But it's not just about volume, it's about quality of sound as well.

This work of art is hand-made, one-of-a-kind, and was created entirely in America with reclaimed materials.

This piece is shown with a stainless dock that fits every iPhone since the 4, and docks can be made to fit Android or other devices. The dock is easily removed (with no tools required!) and can be replaced for future upgrade.
